MINUTES OF CLUB MEETING – MONDAY 13/10/08

Below are the minutes of the meeting:

Action

·         Managers updates

  • Buoyant numbers in all age groups
  • Some concern that leagues becoming too small as some clubs entering teams at each individual year group.

 

 

·         Finance update & Donations

  • Likely to be an expensive year, due to requirement to buys new kits etc.
  • Donations this year are ahead of last year with 97 having been received so far totalling £2,800.

 

 

·         Coaches/helpers CRB checks and references

  • Anybody who helps out must complete an information sheet.  Forms to be returned to John Plaskett.
  • Hardcopies were distributed at the meeting and electronic copy to be circulated
  • CRB checks will be undertaken in order determined by level of involvement

·         Club Administration

  • Any offers of secretarial or Administration help would be gratefully received as current workload is onerous.

 

 

·         Pitch Congestion/Referees

  • Managers have the opportunity to rearrange games on vacant weeks
  • Otherwise 3 options for additional capacity: 1) Flackwell Heath, 2) Stockley Park, Hillingdon 3) request use of 2nd pitch at RPSC (last resort & subject to weather)
  • Need to be on waiting lists for other potential pitches for next season
  • A list of potential referees has been circulated.
  • Need to arrange purchase of a refs ‘kit’ (whistle/cards/stopwatch)

·         Season Dates

  • There will be a one week break for Christmas (27th December) and a one week break for Easter (11th April)
  • Last week of training will be 25th April

 

 

·         Social Events

  • Helpers meal Saturday 15th November
  • Quiz Night Friday 21st November. 7pm for 7.30pm at RPSC. Ticket £5/family with no food.
  • Christmas Curry night Friday 5th December
  • Football Fantasia Sunday 7th December

 

 

·         Next meeting dates

  • 19th January 2009, 30th March 2009, 17th June 2009 (AGM)

 

 

·         Any Other Business

  • New League website – general problems with use & set-up
  • Gift Aid – club is in the process of registering as Community Amateur Sports Club, which should allow reclaim of gift aid.
  • After Match checks – Please could all managers 1) clear pitch & surrounds of litter, 2) Rope off goalmouth, 3) check changing rooms
