MINUTES OF CLUB MEETING – MONDAY 26/04/10

·    Persons

o               Present – Nick Jones, Richard Broad, Alan Mackay, David Hunt,

o                Simon Edwards, David Orr, Mark James, Mick Holden, Rob Wainwright,

o                Paul Simmonds, Paul Selby. 

o               Apologies  -  Brian Griffiths,

 

·   Managers updates

o               U6’s. Very good attendance. Enthusiastic children. Some good talent ready to move up into next age group. Good coaching support.

o               U8’s.  Successful season, good attendance, strong coaching team.

o               U10’s. Great season in the league and the cup. Cup final to come. Only lost one match in the league. Good mix of players.

o               U12’s. Improving as a team and finally won a game in the league. Struggled generally due to mostly younger children.

o               U14’s. Good second half of the season after a disappointing first half. Good attendance of 16-17 squad players. Possibility that some players will leave the club instead of moving up to the next age group.

o               U16’s. Mixed season. Change of manager towards the end of the season. Struggled with numbers towards the end.

o               Men’s Team. Very good season. Good turnout. Could win league if they win last game.  

 

 

 

 

·   Finance update & Donations

o               Finances are in good shape. Donations are well up on last season.

o               More than one year’s running costs in bank.

o               £785 gift aid now received from HMRC

 

 

·   Coaches/helpers CRB checks and references

o               Most coaches and helpers have their CRB checks.

o               New helpers have references taken when they start.

o               Tara is trying to get on a child protection course.

o               John Plaskett to remain welfare officer for now.  

 

·   Teams for Next Season

o               U 6’s. Run by Nick Jones plus helpers

o               U 8’s. Managed by Mick Holden/Rob Wainwright plus helpers.

o               U 10’s.  The intention is to have two teams. Names yet to be decided. David Hunt will manage one team with coaching assistants. Alan Mackay will manage the other team with coaching assistants.

o               U12’s. lManager currently vacant but some coaching assistants available.

o               U14’s. Managed by Paul Selby with coaching from Alan Dardis and Gary Broadhurst.  

o               U16’s. Managed by Simon Edwards with coaching from David Orr.

o               Men’s team.  Managed by Simon Edwards and Mark James.

 

 

·   Dates for Next Season

o               Registration is Saturday 4th of September.

o               First training session is Saturday 11th of September.

 

·     End Of Season Events – Presentations

o        Friday 30th April.     Lads, Mums and Dads mixed football evening.

o        Friday May 7th.       Trophy presentation evening for U6s, U8s and U12s.

o        Friday May 14th.     Trophy presentation evening for U10s, U14s and U16s. 

o        Saturday May 29th.  Hazlemere 6’s tournament.

o   Last Training Session will be on May 1st due to the start of the cricket season.

o   Managers to get their team’s kit back. 

o   First Aid Kit requirements for next season by 14th May. 

o   Training Equipment requirements for next season by 14th May.  

o   Possible Level 1 Coaching Courses for the younger coaches 

o   There are now 4 qualified referees at the club.

o    It has still to be confirmed that the club can play at Richings Park next season.
