Below are the minutes of the meeting:

Action

·         Team managers update

  • Generally running well so far this season, with just about enough helpers all round. U6 & U8 should try to encourage a couple of extra parents to get involved.
  • U16 have a few long term injuries.
  • Men’s team short of a few players, especially a Goalkeeper. Any volunteers welcomed.
  • If coaches know they or their helpers are going to be unavailable for a particular week, some advance notice is helpful in planning cover.

·         Website Advertising

  • A proposal was received to potentially provide some commission funding from an advert on the website. After some discussion it was felt that it was not something that the club wished to participate in at the present time. However there was no objection to leaflets being given out at the ground.

·         Next meeting date

  • Monday 21st January 2008 at 8pm. Note that the venue will again be Kings Church Hall, which is now booked for us.

·         Any Other Business

  • Parents collecting children – Some concern expressed at children potentially leaving without parents. Note in the next newsletter to request all parents to return by 10.30
  • Christmas Break – No training to be held on Saturday 22nd and 29th December. Resume on 5th January.
  • Fixture Congestion – John has list of all fixtures. There are 3 Saturdays with pitch clashes. We currently have permission to use the other pitch but the weather may be a factor. Also on 7th December there is a clash on the mini soccer pitch. Need to arrange for one game to start later.
  • U8 Website – This seems to be not updating (may be due to non competitive status), even though managers still have deadline for input. John will raise at the next league meeting.
  • Referee – David Orr announced that this will be his last season as club referee. If anyone wants to get involved he is happy to provide training.
