Welcome to a new season
Dear children & parents
A very warm welcome to St Peters Iver Football Club. I hope that you have had an enjoyable summer and are looking forward, as I am, to the new season.
Last year was yet another great season with so many highlights. It was fantastic seeing so many children of all ages enjoying and enthusiastically taking part in football each Saturday. I really encourage you all to give this season your very best effort and really enjoy yourself remembering that the spirit in which you play is also very important.
Should at any point you have any questions, or wish to discuss anything regarding the club, please feel free to come and speak to me on Saturday mornings or alternatively give me a call. It is always good to receive your feedback, good or bad, as it helps the club develop.
Enjoy the season.
Best regards
Nick Jones

St Peters Iver Football Club – A Short History
St Peters Iver Football Club (juniors) was started in 1996 and began with only a handful of children attending the weekly training sessions. This continued and grew slowly until in 2000 we were able to form a team. The team was entered into the under 10’s division of the Chiltern Churches Junior Football league. Gradually, thanks to the support of the parents and the children, the club grew and we were able to run teams at other age groups.
As a result of the continued support we now cater for children from 4 up to 16 and beyond. This season we will be running teams in the Chiltern Churches Junior League at U8, U10, U12, U14 & U16 and a men’s team in the Chiltern Churches Senior League. This enables a large number of children to participate in a friendly but competitive environment. In addition to the teams, weekly training continues for any children in the age groups under 10 and below not wanting to or able to participate in the team squads.
The aim of the club is to provide a service that will benefit the children of Iver and the surrounding areas. We see our role as coaches not only to teach football but also to instil a disciplined and considerate attitude in all those who attend. This is done in the belief that not only is it the way that we feel sport should be played but that it will also aid the children as they develop and mature.
The Club aims to be as inclusive as possible and to maintain this ethos parents & carers are asked to consider making a voluntary annual donation to the club. Donation forms are included in this pack.
We do not wish to have formal signing on fees etc. but without your support the club will not be able to function for the full benefit of the children.
In addition, if you are a taxpayer please complete the gift aid form which will allow us to reclaim additional funding from the government.
The average cost of running the club for a season is over £5,000. Details of club accounts are available on request.
A significant amount of funds for equipment/running costs are raised from our highly successful parent run coffee bar. The coaches, helpers and officials all give their time voluntarily and any offers of assistance in any form (coaching, helping, admin etc) are always gratefully received.
Who are we?
St Peters Iver Football Club is part of St Peters Church, Iver and is also supported by members of Kings Church, Iver. We have close liaisons with the churches and the club is supported and assisted in many ways by the church leadership. In addition to the Football Club, both churches offer a variety of activities for children and youth, both on Sunday mornings during their services and in the week via youth groups for various ages. Children are welcome to join in with these activities and further details can be obtained by contacting:

What we offer
We have been very fortunate to have seen amazing growth in the number of children taking part over the last few years. This is a very positive trait; however we do have a limited number of coaches and facilities. Consequently this has meant that we have far more children at most age groups than we can ever hope to play in matches. Sadly this has caused concern for some parents. This said we value every child who comes to the club and want to see them develop as individuals and in their football ability (whatever that may be).
As a club we remain committed to all of the children and offer children in the U10 age group and below the chance to receive or take part in regular weekly coaching. Unfortunately we cannot and do not promise anything further than being all inclusive for training. We hope that you understand this cannot and does not extend to any guarantees in respect of matches and playing in the St Peters Iver teams.
Where are we?
We can be found at Richings Park Sports & Social Club, where we are fortunate to enjoy superb facilities which are the envy of many visiting teams. The Sports Club provide safe and pleasant surroundings for both players and spectators alike and we respect this opportunity by leaving the site as we expect to find it the following week.
What We Expect
As a player you agree to:
· be prepared to start training at the time specified by individual coaches
· be appropriately dressed with the correct footwear and any safety equipment needed, i.e. gloves, shin pads, etc
· remember to always bring a drink to training/matches
· set a good example for others and show respect to them whether they are opponents, officials, spectators or team mates
· not use inappropriate language or actions
· accept success and failure, victory and defeat, equally
As a parent/spectator within the Club you agree to:
· be positive and encouraging towards all of the children, not just your own
· applaud the opposition as well as your own team
· not use inappropriate language or actions
· give attention to each of the children involved, not just the most talented
· respect the referee’s decision
Additional Information
· In the event of a cancelled training session a notice will be posted on the St Peters website www.spfc.co.uk as early as we are informed and by no later than 9am on the Saturday morning. It is your responsibility to check the website or directly with your team Coach.
· A notice board, placed beside the Tea Bar is regularly updated for those of you unable to view our website.
· We ask that you park considerately for the local residents and in particular, do not obstruct emergency access along Wellesley Avenue or at the gated entrance to the Sports Ground.
· We accept no responsibility for lost property. It is kept for a limited time, usually no more than three weeks and items not reclaimed after this time are given to a local charity.
· We have a ‘Boot Box’ system, which allows members to take boots from the box should they need to. To keep the system running we ask that you put your old boots, (cleaned, of course!) into the box.
